Typically, an electronic portfolio includes the some or all of the following:
- A current resume
- Scores from any required state testing
- Copies of your teaching license(s)
- Copies of any additional certifications
- A personal statement focusing on your teaching philosophy
- Letters of recommendation
- Documentation of any awards received
- Examples of the quality of your work outputs such as lesson plans, tests, handouts, and rubrics
- Records of formal observations
- Documentation of continuing education completed
- Examples of student work
- Sample copies of communications with the community such as newsletters for example
- A picture of you
Enjoy the process! Electronic portfolios are a great way to show potential employers who you are and what kind of an impact you can bring to their school system.
